Te Awamutu AFC – Committee Nominations

Te Awamutu AFC members will vote at the upcoming AGM Monday, 23 November to select the Committee Members for the 2027 year. 

Stucture will be the same as in 2026 with the Committee consisting of three officers in elected positions: President, Secretary and Treasurer and up to 6 other elected Committee members. 

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills, experience, and passion for football to the growth and success of our club.

Voting will take place at the Club AGM, and we strongly encourage you to come and meet the candidates before voting at the AGM.


JOB DESPRIPTION:  

  • Club President: 

    Provides leadership and direction for the club.

    Chairs board meetings and AGM’s, supports board members, supports operational staff in disciplinary actions alongside Director of Football.  Represents the club within the football community and helps ensure the club continues to grow and achieve its goals.

  • Club Secretary: 

    Keeps the club organised and running smoothly.

    Responsible for meeting administration, agendas and minutes, official correspondence, maintaining records, and supporting the board with governance and communication alongside the Club Administrator.

  • Club Tresurer: 

    Oversees the club's finances.

    Approves budgets & provides oversight to operational staff. Handles financial reporting, banking, payments, and monitoring income and expenditure to ensure the club remains financially sustainable.

  • Board Member: 

    Plays an active role in the governance and future development of the club.

    Works alongside the President, Secretary, and Treasurer to help make decisions, contribute ideas, support club initiatives, and ensure the club continues to serve its members and community effectively.

Te Awamutu AFC being an incorporated society, it is a separate entity under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
