With a number of senior players unavailable, the squad took on a solid Matamata side and to be honest they got a lesson in football. the final score of 10-0 is the biggest loss to matamata that can remembered in the past 25 years. this will leave the coaching staff scratching their heads and trying to lift a team destined for the Cambridge Tournament this weekend. On the positive side it was good to see that Norm and Kim have given all squad members the opportunity to step up, and now have a good understanding of the players in the squad.
